  • Akacorleone transforms Cascais train line

Within the scope of the exhibition “Keith Haring. Between art, activism and fashion,” the work of American artist and activist Keith Haring took to the streets, making it accessible to everyone, as Haring defended. In partnership with CP – Comboios de Portugal and IP – Infraestruturas de Portugal, State of the Art transformed a train carriage of the Cascais line, as well as the Cascais train station, into an art gallery featuring elements of Keith Haring’s work.

Pedro Campiche, most commonly known as Akacorleone, was the artist responsible for the transformation of the train carriage, which was decorated on the inside and the outside with an original design inspired by Haring’s art. Susana de Oliveira was the designer behind the transformation of the Cascais train station creating a true display of the artist’s most iconic symbols.

Before this, Akacorleone was at CascaiShopping performing a live painting, giving a glimpse of his technique and the creative process behind the transformation of the train carriage.
