The Pool by Jen Lewin

For the fourth edition of “Art at Colombo” (2014), State of the Art invited internationally renowned artist Jen Lewin to bring her interactive light sculpture “The Pool” to Lisbon, Portugal. For the first time in Europe, the exhibition received more than 130.000 visitors during the 7,5 weeks of the exhibition.

INTERACTIVE LIGHT SCULPTURE IN COLOMBO CENTER

“The Pool” is composed of over 100 interactive circular platforms placed in giant concentric circles. Because Jen Lewin’s interactive light sculpture works best contained in a white and dim space, we invited Porto based architecture studio LIKEarchitects to design a dome for the sculpture.
