CascaiShopping and AlgarveShopping exhibition mark the first time Paper-Cut-Project is exhibited in Portugal. Under the theme “SuperWomen” the two American artists, Amy Flurry and Nikki Nye, blended inspirations from legendary and mythical heroines, goddesses and warriors.
Nikki Nye and Amy Flurry co-founded Paper-Cut-Project in 2009 based on the transformation of simple sheets of paper into dramatic silhouettes. The Atlanta-based duo has forged a unique linkage of fine art and fashion that has garnered commissions from some of the world’s top fashion and design houses, including Hermes, Cartier, Kate Spade and Valentino.
The exhibition included a photoshoot by star photographer Carlos Ramos and a Fashion Exhibition that offered special discounts to clients of the two malls.
For the inauguration of the exhibition we invited Portuguese singer Márcia, a contemporary ballet dancer and a comic artist to interpret their version of a SuperWoman.
