Today, State of the Art opened the exhibition “Keith Haring. Between art, activism and fashion” at CascaiShopping. The inauguration featured a “Live body painting performance” with model Sharam Diniz in homage to the live performance that Keith Haring created with supermodel and singer Grace Jones in New York, in 1987. During 2 months, visitors will be able to get to know 17 original works of art by this world-renowned artist. As a result of his influence in the fashion world, the exhibition also features pieces by famous fashion designers, inspired by Haring’s work, as well as the replica of the emblematic jacket worn by Madonna at Haring’s birthday party, at Paradise Garage, on 16 May 1984 where she sang “Dress you up”.
State of the Art invited street artist Akacorleone to transform the exterior and interior of a train carriage with an exclusive design inspired by the art of Keith Haring.
Tomorrow morning, Akacorleone will do a live painting performance at CascaiShopping, where visitors will be able to see the artist at work and better understand his technique and creative process.
At 12am, join us for a train ride on the Cascais line for an immersive experience to Haring’s work. In addition to the train carriage, the entire Cascais station will be decorated with images alluding to the work of Keith Haring.
